Getting Started

Welcome to Austin's Comic Collection. This guide walks you from a brand-new account to a reviewed listing in about five minutes. There are four steps: create your account, connect eBay, run your first sync, and review what came back.

Step 1: Create your account

On the sign-in page enter your email and request a magic link. You will receive a one-time link in your inbox — clicking it signs you in and creates your profile automatically. No password is set up front; the magic-link flow handles both new and returning users.

If you do not see the email within sixty seconds, check spam, then request a new link. We rate-limit to one link per minute per email to discourage abuse.

Step 2: Connect eBay

After signing in for the first time you will land on the onboarding page. Click Connect eBay to start the OAuth handshake. eBay will ask you to authorize the four scopes we use: inventory read, account read, fulfillment read, and listing management. Approve and you will be redirected back.

The connection sets a small cookie that signals the rest of the app that you are connected. If you ever want to disconnect, go to Settings → eBay and click Disconnect.

Step 3: Run your first sync

The first sync is automatic — it kicks off in the background as soon as the OAuth handshake completes. Depending on how much inventory you have it can take anywhere from ten seconds to a few minutes.

You can watch progress from the Last synced badge in the top bar. When the dot turns green the sync is done and your inventory should be visible under Inventory.

If the badge stays grey for more than five minutes, open Settings → eBay and click Run sync now to retry manually.

Step 4: Review your first listing

Head to Inventory and you should see your active eBay listings imported. Click any row to open the detail drawer. You can:

• Edit the cost basis — the price you paid is critical for accurate profit reporting.
• Set the purchase location — useful for tracking which sources turn over fastest.
• Attach a purchase date — needed for "days to sell" stats and tax reports.

You are now ready to track sales, run reports, and (on Pro) trigger AI descriptions or bulk actions.
